The technology.

Our charging system is based on inductive charging principle. It is composed of two parts: power transmitter and power receiver. Block diagram of the charging system is shown below:

We utilized Qi compliant power managing chips. Qi is an inductive power standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium, an international organization encompassing various manufacturing industries. The transmitter optimizes the usage of power in addition to continuously monitoring efficiency of power transfer. The receiver manager is rated at 5W and features high efficiency and low power dissipation. However, the overall efficiency of any wireless charging system is defined by the coupling coefficient of the charging coils. Higher coupling coefficient results in better power transmission and lower heat dissipation. Therefore, we have used a specific material in our charging systems to increase the coupling coefficient. As a result, the coupling in our charging systems reach up to 70%. Average charging times, from 0%-100%,  are 2- 2.5 hours for iPhone 5, and 2.5-3.5 hours for Galaxy SIII phones. Moreover, our charging systems will not overcharge the phone since they stop charging when the battery is fully charged.
